The City Nature Challenge is an annual four-day global bioblitz where cities compete to see not only what can be accomplished when we all work toward a common goal, but also which city can gather the most observations of nature, find the most species, and engage the most people in the event! Join us Sunday May 1st for a Nature Challenge Hike, and lets see if we can get Shirley Chisholm State Park on the map! No experience necessary, just join us for a fun hike around the park where we will identify and documents as many plants and animals as we can, and teach everyone how to use the app iNaturalist. Binoculars will be provided! Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for hiking in. This program is free! Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Meeting point will be at Hendrix Creek Patio on the Penn side of the park.
