The Specialists Tour

Step inside The Specialists LTD for a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry, innovation, and problem-solving that have defined this uniquely versatile creative hub. Founded in 1981 in New York City, the shop has grown into a 60,000-square-foot facility in Queens where old-world crafts like sculpting, mold-making, and blacksmithing meet advanced technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining, and microcontroller programming. With a team of fabricators whose backgrounds span engineering, art, design, and filmmaking, The Specialists bring imagination to life, providing fabrication, graphics, and props for film, television, theater, and live events.

The tour is organized by production designer Kelsey Walsh and the NYC IPDW Taskforce.
