Join us for a captivating walking tour showcasing the quotidian but real architectural gems of Johnston Street, Dubois Street, and William Street in Newburgh, NY! Written by our own architectural historian Steven Baltsas, this tour highlights the rich history and diverse styles of the buildings that define these vibrant streets but more importantly the social histories that shape the city even today.
This year, we are partnering with RUPCO’s YouthBuild Program and Newburgh Free Academy's Architectural Students to lead the tour under the guidance of Fullerton board member and architect designer Anoushae Eirabie.
This tour promises an engaging and educational experience for all and a proud moment to see students learn and present their perspectives of the tour. Engage with local students who are getting their feet wet about preservation and architecture.
Look! Mira! Walking Tours are available on Urban Archive, where you can delve deeper into the history and significance of each location as well as the rest of Newburgh, NY
