Creating “Paris, Texas” – Screening and Q+A with Kate Altman

The now-iconic “Paris, Texas”, a 1984 neo-Western drama road film directed by Wim Wenders and co-written by Sam Shepard, has become a touchstone for filmmakers and film-goers alike.

Production Designer Kate Altman will discuss the film’s visual themes, and share stories from its production.

The conversation will be moderated by filmmaker Anna Rose Holmer. Holmer (“God’s Creatures” 2022, “The OA” 2019, “The Fits” 2015) is known for her kinetic, visual storytelling which Rolling Stone called “cinema poetry in motion.”
