Join Leroy Street Studio at their Allen Street Gallery for a behind-the-scenes look at A24’s first brick-and-mortar venture and the transformation of New York City’s oldest continuously operating Off-Broadway stage — The Cherry Lane Theatre.

Behind the Curtain showcases Leroy Street Studio’s holistic practice—spanning architecture, construction, and interior design—and how it aligned with Cherry Lane and A24 to restore a landmark theatre through shared commitments to history, craft, and experimentation.  Offering an intimate glimpse into the hands-on design-build process, the exhibit collages drawings, mock-ups, and material studies to reveal the complexity of renovating a beloved cultural icon while framing the project within the Studio’s 30-year legacy of collaboration in the West Village and Lower Manhattan.
