If you cannot make it down to the Museum at Eldridge Street in person for one of our signature Synagogues of the Lower East Side Tours, you are in luck! We are pleased to offer a Zoom tour of the Lower East Side's synagogues (past and present) that you can take from the comfort of your home.

At the beginning of the last century, there were more than 500 synagogues throughout the Lower East Side. It was likely to encounter a synagogue or Jewish immigrant society on nearly every block. Very few still exist in their original form; most are distant memories or have been altered to serve completely different functions – as residences, churches, event spaces, or empty lots.

On January 30th at 6pm ET join us for a Zoom tour with urban historian, and educator Bradley Shaw, as we dive into the rich history of synagogues on the Lower East Side.

Please see the Zoom link in your order confirmation email. This program is entirely virtual.
