Take a study break and join us for meaningful, teen-led discussions with community leaders, artists, and museum staff around the topic of environmental justice! Utilizing artistic reflection and community dialogue, GuggTeens Conversations Spring 2022 is a free, hybrid series designed to encourage local New York City high schoolers to think creatively across multiple disciplines about environmental justice. This six-part series will include both remote and in-person sessions between March and June 2022. During each meeting, participants will be joined by local community partners to explore artworks in the museum’s collection and to discuss themes of environmental and social justice. After each session, teens will create their own reflective artworks based on interpretive prompts. All sessions are free and open to all New York City teens in grades 8–12! Join us to meet other local teens with similar passions and share your original creations—you could even win a gift card for submitting your artwork!. MTA cards, snacks, and art-making supplies will be provided for the in-person sessions. Reach out to teenprograms@guggenheim.org with any questions.
