Join the Historic Districts Council for a guided walking tour of Mosholu Parkland in The Bronx on December 9th. The tour will explore the Parkway’s landscape and delve into its history, tracing back to the original inhabitants.

This event is a part of HDC’s Six to Celebrate program, organized in collaboration with Friends of Mosholu Parkland. We have jointly focused on preserving significant sites such as The Bronx Victory Memorial and Frank Frisch Field, both of which will be showcased during the tour.

Friends of Mosholu Parkland is dedicated to engaging the Bedford Park and Norwood communities in gardening and fostering environmental sustainability, along with social and economic growth. Their involvement in the Six to Celebrate program is part of an effort to preserve Mosholu Parkway and connect local residents to park and open space areas.

Our tour will be led by the knowledgeable Alexandra Maruri, a Bronx native and founder of Bronx Historical Tours, an organization that supports minority-owned business and cultural heritage by offering walking tours.
