Since its inception in 1990, this one-of-a-kind event has been a celebration of New York City’s vibrant neighborhoods, greenways, and safer streets advocacy community on an open road bike tour. From its early days, when 200 pioneering cyclists blazed a trail, to recent years drawing thousands of participants, the NYC Century has captured the spirit of change and progress.

By 2030, Transportation Alternatives hopes to reach 1 million NYC bike rides per day.
