Guided Tours of the Onera Foundation and its current exhibition AMERICA ABROAD

Join Laurence Lafforgue, Executive Director of the OneraFoundation, for a 45-minute guided visit to the Foundation and its currentexhibition.

The tour introduces visitors to Onera Foundation, itshistoric New Canaan home—an 1836 landmark once home to legendary editor MaxwellPerkins and listed on the National Register of Historic Places—and its missionand programs.

The visit includes a walk-through of AMERICA ABROAD: Art, Architecture,and Diplomacy, featuring rarely seen works from the Foundation for Art andPreservation in Embassies (FAPE) Collection by Carmen Herrera, Jasper Johns,Ellsworth Kelly, and many others. The exhibition also explores the evolution ofAmerican embassy architecture from the Cold War to today, including NewCanaan’s connections to this architectural history.
