Ancestral Ecologies Sunset Tour

Join us for a special guided tour of Ancestral Ecologies, a site-specific exhibition by artist Olalekan Jeyifous and environmental art and architecture practice AD—WO, the inaugural fellows of BBG’s new Heidi Nitze Art × Environment Fellowship.

Presented in conjunction with the 2026 Archtober festival and its “In our Hands” focus on community and optimism, this tour will highlight the artworks' connection to ancient forms of sustainable architecture and construction, cultural exchange, and climate resiliency. We will discuss the artists’ year-long process of researching and responding to distinct phenomena found in the Garden and its communities to create four multisensory installations that explore how Afrodiasporic and Latinx worldviews can inform contemporary ecological knowledge and stewardship.
