Step into the secrets of the past with an afternoon exploring some of the Cemetery’s most impressive and elaborate nineteenth-century mausoleums. Peek beyond the ornate gates of these stately stone structures to view exquisite stained glass, intricate architecture, and some curious surprises. At each location, docents will offer a glimpse into the lives of the personalities who now rest in these opulent edifices. It’s the one day a year when you can learn the mysteries of mausoleums usually closed to the public, so don’t miss out!

Please Note: This is a self-guided walking tour. Special maps with a recommended walking route are provided at check-in at Green-Wood’s Main Entrance (500 25th Street at Fifth Avenue). Comfortable footwear is recommended as you will need to walk on hilly and at times uneven terrain. Check-in will be open 12–2pm.
