The 2022-2023 Preservation School series will feature classes with representatives from New York City agencies. Come learn about these agencies’ missions and how they engage with historical neighborhoods, buildings, and sites. Ask questions directly of representatives from different agencies about the work they do.

New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) promotes the quality and affordability of the city’s housing and the strength and diversity of its many neighborhoods. Michael Sandler, HPD Assistant Commissioner for Neighborhood Development and Stabilization will give background on the city’s affordable housing crises and HPD’s role in creating and preserving affordable housing and maintaining the quality of the city’s housing stock.
