Authors Harrison Fraker and Doug Kelbaugh will discuss their books Minding the City: Field Notes on Neuroscience and the Poetics of Sustainable Public Space and The Urban Fix: Resilient Cities in the War against Climate Change, Heat Islands and Overpopulation and their approach to the pursuit of greener, more resilient, more sustainable, and more equitable cities. Between them they have over 100 years of experience dealing with architecture and the urban realm, both have been deans of prestigious schools of architecture and environmental design, both have worked locally, nationally, and internationally in pursuit of greener, cleaner, more economical, more diverse, and more beautiful places.
