Join Jeff Richman, Green-Wood’s historian and the author of the newly-published Building the Brooklyn Bridge, 1869-1883: An Illustrated History with Images in 3D, for a visit to the graves of the many Cemetery residents who played key roles in the construction of the New York City icon. We’ll visit the assistant engineers who built the bridge, the shipbuilder who built the caissons used during its construction, the bridge’s general contractor, and trustees who helped guide the work—including Boss Tweed.
